Custom Inflatable SUPs from a Drop-Stitch Paddle Board Manufacturer in China

4S Sports is an inflatable SUP manufacturer in China producing custom drop-stitch paddle boards, floating mats, and docks for brands, distributors, retailers, rental operators, and resorts worldwide. We manufacture to an approved specification covering shape, dimensions, construction, pressure rating, graphics, fittings, accessories, and packaging. Buyers can start with CAD data, drawings, a reference sample, or a performance brief. OEM programs reproduce approved designs, while ODM support turns a market concept into a sample-ready product. Flexible quantities and mixed-model planning support both new collections and established ranges, with specifications, tolerances, and approval checkpoints agreed before production.

  • Inflatable SUP Boards for Every Market

Each discipline needs its own balance of outline, width, rocker, thickness, volume, deck layout, and fin configuration—not one generic shape in multiple graphics.

  • All-round SUPs

Typically 10–11'6" long and 32–34" wide, these stable, forgiving boards are the volume choice for beginners, families, leisure paddling, and rental fleets.

  • Touring SUPs

Usually 11'6"–12'6" or longer, with a narrower outline and pointed or displacement-style nose for efficient tracking and distance paddling.

  • Race SUPs

Commonly 12'6" or 14' long and about 24–28" wide, race shapes prioritize speed and glide, with stability tuned to the intended competition class.

  • Surf SUPs

Shorter outlines, increased rocker, and responsive rails support turning and control in waves.

  • Yoga SUPs

A wide, full outline and large, obstruction-free EVA deck pad provide the stable working area needed for SUP yoga and fitness.

  • Whitewater SUPs

Short, wide, thick, and reinforced shapes emphasize stability, maneuverability, impact protection, multiple handles, and river-specific fin choices.

  • Fishing SUPs

Wide, high-volume platforms add stability plus D-rings, bungee storage, and optional gear, cooler, or seat mounts

  • Kids’ SUPs

Smaller dimensions, lighter carry weight, and often a 4-inch profile make handling easier for younger paddlers.

  • Drop-Stitch Construction — Choose Your Build

A drop-stitch core uses thousands of polyester threads to connect the deck and hull. As pressure rises, those threads limit separation and hold the product flat and rigid. Traditional knitted drop-stitch uses a knitted yarn architecture; woven drop-stitch arranges reinforcement in a criss-cross matrix with less stretch and higher stiffness-to-weight potential. Woven describes the internal textile structure—it is not another name for fusion lamination.

Single-layer: PVC-coated drop-stitch base cloth is the lightest and most affordable choice, but it generally provides lower rigidity and puncture resistance than reinforced builds. A single-layer-plus-stringer construction adds a bonded longitudinal PVC strip for extra stiffness at moderate weight and cost.

Double-layer glued: A second PVC skin is hand-glued over the single-layer base. This can improve stiffness and durability, but adhesive adds weight, makes the board harder to roll, and may create cosmetic wrinkles or bubbles. It remains useful for selected heavy-duty or river programs. Double-layer glued is not fusion.

Fusion / heat-laminated double layer: The second reinforcement layer is machine-laminated to the base under controlled heat and pressure rather than applied as a separately hand-glued skin. Industry references report roughly 20–25% lower weight and up to about 30% greater stiffness than traditional glued double-layer builds, with a smoother finish. Because “fusion” is used loosely in the market, the actual textile, PVC stack, bonding process, and tested pressure must be confirmed for each program.

Rail construction: Standard glued rail bands seal the deck and hull with adhesive. Heat-welded seams fuse compatible PVC rail components under heat and pressure, reducing reliance on glue and improving resistance to heat-related seam degradation.

Typical operating ranges are about 10–12 PSI for entry-level boards, 12–15 PSI for standard SUPs, and 18–20+ PSI for performance constructions. These are market ranges, not a universal specification; 4S pressure ratings and maximum-pressure markings are for each construction.

  • Inflatable Docks & Floating Platforms

Inflatable docks, floating platforms, and inflatable swim platforms use a rigid rectangular drop-stitch body for swimming access, yoga, fishing, events, resorts, or use beside a yacht. A typical concept uses a 6-inch profile and operates around 8–10 PSI, but final pressure depends on the construction and size. Options include stainless-steel D-rings, anchor ropes, carry handles, an EVA traction surface, a removable boarding ladder, and modular connection points for joining units.

  • Inflatable Floating Mats

Inflatable floating mats—also sold as inflatable water mats—turn drop-stitch PVC into large, roll-up recreation surfaces for lakes, pools, resorts, and rental fleets. Programs can include an anti-slip EVA top, reinforced carry handles, stainless-steel D-rings, tether points, and custom graphics. Sizes, thicknesses, rated pressure, capacity, and attachment layouts are engineered to the intended use and remain.

Configure retail sets with a dual-action hand pump or electric pump; an adjustable paddle with an aluminum, fiberglass, or carbon shaft; a coiled leash; repair kit; and backpack or travel bag. Fin options include a US fin box with removable fin or a convenient slide-in/click-in fin. D-rings, bungee cord, camera mount, kayak-seat fittings, ropes, and ladders are optional.

  • Complete Accessory Packages

Customization can cover dimensions, outline, thickness, construction, rail system, colors, EVA pad, logos, fittings, accessories, instructions, and packaging. We can work from CAD files, drawings, reference samples, or a detailed brief. Tooling, sample approval, tolerances, intellectual-property terms, and controls should be agreed before mass production.

  • OEM & ODM Customization for Your Brand

  • Quality Control from Material to Packed Set

Controls can include dimensional checks, rail inspection, inflation and leak testing, pressure-hold testing, valve checks, EVA adhesion, graphics and fitting alignment, accessory completeness, and packaging review. The tolerances, pressure cycle, test duration,

  • FAQ
  • Which construction should we choose:

single layer, glued double layer, or fusion?

Choose single layer when low weight and entry price matter most; add a stringer when modest extra stiffness is needed. Glued double layer suits selected heavy-duty programs where added weight is acceptable. Fusion heat-laminates the reinforcement layer and offers a strong stiffness-to-weight balance. Woven drop-stitch is a separate core-textile choice and can be paired with a suitable laminate. We will confirm the exact stack, rail system, and pressure rating before sampling.

  • What PSI should our boards be rated for?

Many standard SUPs operate at 12–15 PSI, while entry boards may use 10–12 PSI and performance builds may be designed for 18–20+ PSI. Docks commonly use lower or moderate pressures depending on size and construction.

  • Can you develop custom board shapes and sizes from our designs?

Yes. We can review CAD data, drawings, reference samples, or a performance brief for OEM development, and support ODM refinement where required. Dimensions, volume, rocker, fittings, tolerances, artwork, and approval criteria are agreed before production.

  • What accessories can be included?

Packages can include a dual-action pump or electric pump option, adjustable paddle, coiled leash, removable fin, repair kit, and backpack or travel bag. Optional D-rings, bungee systems, camera mounts, kayak-seat fittings, ropes, and ladders depend on the product.

  • Do you make inflatable docks and floating mats in custom sizes?

Yes. Size, thickness, EVA coverage, handles, D-rings, tether points, ladders, graphics, and modular connections can be developed to specification. Rated capacity, pressure, and intended use must be confirmed during development.
